The Show: This is a thoughtful and upbeat
coming-of-age musical - coming of a certain
age, that is. No, it's not another rag on hot-flashes or men. The Only Way Out is Through takes a tour
through the ravages of times, culture, family-life, and BS. Laine visits
Shelley and they rediscover their friendship and the trust they took for
granted. As they tally-up the successes, the disappointments, the
uncertainty, and the cold hard facts - in song and dance naturally - they
realize they can't hide and don't want to anymore. (this show isn't
really suitable for children)
